From UM Bulletin –
“A study of the theory and practice of digital audio topics including discrete time sampling, quantization, dithering, PCM, A/D and D/A conversion, digital filtering, oversampling, modulation codes, time base, error correction codes, magnetic storage, DAT, and optical storage.”
Below is my final paper for this class, documenting my final project. We were given free reign to create something in Matlab that utilized topics we studied in class. I created a Karplus-Strong Synthesizer with keys laid out like a fretboard. You can pick from four types of excitations (Noise, Sine, Impulse, and Square). To run, download AOS_KSBASS which is a .zip folder containing the main .m and ksfilter function .m file.
