This was the final project for my introduction to screenwriting class. I came up with the idea, wrote the screenplay, and directed some of the shots. There were four of us in the group- one student was the actor, one was responsible for the camera, one was the editor, and I was the writer. Some challenges we faced were scheduling during finals, working with no budget, and having to complete the entire project in a limited time span. Overall, it was a fun project to work on. We received an A.

MMI 436 Project 1 – Wanted from Andrew O’Neil-Smith on Vimeo.

I was given this pre-edited clip from the movie Wanted and created all sound for it using Logic Pro. Matched audio to video in Final Cut Pro for export.

MMI 436 Project 2 – Bladerunner Intro Sequence from Andrew O’Neil-Smith on Vimeo.

I edited the Bladerunner intro sequence with Final Cut Pro. Used Motion to create dynamic video content (text movement, eyeball graphics). Logic Pro was used to make all sounds.

MMI 436 Project 3 from Andrew O’Neil-Smith on Vimeo.

I used Final Cut Pro to edit Back to the Future and Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon series. I used Logic Pro to create all of the “science fiction” sounds (lightsabers, spaceships, etc) with different software synthesizers for the two movies. Soundtrack Pro was used to combine all of the sound elements (bundled sound with sci-fi sounds from Logic) and Final Cut Pro was used again to put audio to video.
