My personal music history lesson if you are interested:

I took piano lessons when I was a kid. I began playing the clarinet in middle school and picked up tenor saxophone in high school. Around freshmen year of high school I also began to play the electric bass and taught myself guitar. I also took drum set lessons for about a year. I began focusing solely on jazz bass sophomore year of high school to gear up for college auditions, and was accepted into several music schools around the country. I chose the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Engineering. My principal instrument was jazz bass. My favorite times playing music there was with my brothers in Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. Today, I mainly focus on playing electric bass and guitar.
